Sitting here in the endless night,
watching time go by.
We watch as friends are born,
and join our little clusters.
As we gaze down from the heavens,
we see how things have changed.
People watch us closely,
to see if we are what they want.
Will we fit into their charts?
In a flash of light,
our number dwindles.
And now a black hole stands,
